From the stills available on the internet, its clear that the *Young Indy* as its become known was in fact a Morgan 450 series Bullwhip, the wrist strap had been cut off and it had been painted in red and black by the prop guys on set.

We have not been quite so rough here, this Young Indy Whip is plaited using the 450 series pattern, an 8 inch steel spike as the handle foundation attached to which is a leather core, followed by two plaits and two bolsters overlaid in a twelve plait and finishing in a 6 strand point. These are slightly dearer than other Indy Whips because once plaited the handle section then has to be cut away and plaited again in Red Roo Hide. Some serious pinning and binding follows this which creates extra work, so more time to build the whip. The whip is then finished in the 450 style with a 5 x 4 turks head at the heel three times round and a 5 x 4 again at the transition twice round.

These whips were seen briefly in the Last Crusade Film, in lengths of 6ft and 8ft, so these are the two lengths priced below, if however you would like one of a different length, thats easy enough to arrange just drop me an email.
